Utility Billing for Submetered Properties
When individual submeters or energy allocation equipment have been installed, resident consumption can be determined very accurately. Data from individual residences is collected wirelessly or via manual readings.
Using the tenant's consumption data and rate information from the master-meter utility bill, a statement is calculated and mailed or delivered electronically to the tenant. This bill can also include rent, Internet, cable, or other fees (Convergent Billing) that the owner or property manager routinely collects.
Resident Payment Options
Residents can make payments on-site to the property management staff or directly to AmCoBi. If AmCoBi processes the utility bills, we accept following methods of payment:
- Check or money order
- Credit or debit card--online or via the phone
- Monthly bank draft--online, via the phone, or direct payment
